## What it does

@TranscribeVoiceBot turns voice messages, round video notes, audio and video into text. Forward a recording to the bot, or add it to a group and it will transcribe voice messages there. It understands many languages.

## How to use it in 3 steps

1.  Open the bot and tap **Start**.
2.  Forward a voice message or video note to the bot (or send an audio or video file).
3.  Get the text in reply — copy it or forward it.

## Limits

- Recordings up to 20 minutes, files up to 20 MB.
- Each recording is rounded up to a whole minute (1:10 counts as 2 minutes).
- A recording sent as a plain file has no stated length: it counts as 1 minute and only its first minute is transcribed — send recordings as audio or video.

## Is it free?

Yes. 30 minutes of recordings a day are free.

## Privacy

Recordings are transcribed on our server by the open-source Whisper speech model, with no outside services. The bot keeps neither the recording nor the text after the reply.

## Frequently asked questions

**How do I use it in a group?**

Add the bot to the group and make it an admin — then it transcribes voice messages on its own. Without admin rights, reply to a recording with /text.

**Which languages does it understand?**

Many: the speech model recognises dozens of languages, including English, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese, Indonesian and Hindi. Clear speech gives the best result.

**Does it work with round video notes?**

Yes. Forward a video note and you'll get the text of what was said.
